WINGS

Generations of Faith:  A new framework for faith formation.

It addresses the faith formation of people of all ages and generations.
At St. Raphael Church we call these events WINGS, Weaving In God’s Story.

Advent Festival
Thurs. 12/10/09
7 – 8:30 pm with dinner at 6:00 pm
“3,800 Households and Counting” – Make a difference in your Faith Community

Are You a Winner?
Registration Form       Advent Service Project

When we make connections and share our faith with fellow parishioners, we may change someone’s life. We recall God’s gift of His Son at this time of year which inspires us to share our lives and gifts with others. As we experience Advent, in preparation for Christmas, come and learn how one  household can witness to another and build up our faith community. We’ll connect with people we may or may not see at church on Sunday in new ways. We begin with dinner at 6 pm. Age appropriate activities follow for everyone, from 5-95, including a seasonal service project, a “lean on me” experience, and a special take home craft. All this sandwiched between an exciting opening and closing.

Lent Mission
All masses 2/27 & 2/28/10 followed by sessions:
Evenings 7:30-9 pm on Sun., Mon. & Tue. or Mornings 9-10:30 am on Mon. & Tue.
“I am a Catholic, Get Me Outa Here!” – Make a difference in the world
Mission presenter – Fr. Bruce Nieli, C.S.P.

Evangelize? Are you kidding, I’m Catholic. Father Bruce Nieli will help us understand how to take our faith into the world and live as a person who is alive and connected. Our Baptism calls us to make a difference in the world, sharing Jesus and attracting others to the Church through our actions and the witness of our lives. This parish mission format is geared to adults with a special family night event on Tuesday evening with activities for all ages. A simple reception will follow the sessions.

Father Bruce Nieli, C.S.P. (a Paulist priest), conducts parish missions, retreats, and conferences in the Paulist tradition which emphasizes evangelization and witnessing our faith. He offers the spirituality of St. Paul the Apostle with a focus on connecting Catholic faith with daily living.  http://www.paulist.org/evangelization/mission_preachers.php
