March 4 Teaching Service to our Children
Join us as Kathy Shank of KidsMatter discusses ways to bridge our roles as parents from "changing diapers to helping others." Kathy will help us discover how to "find our greatness as mothers on a daily basis...using our God given passions and talents to serve; using God's 'Fruits of the Holy Spirit' to serve other people with children of all ages in tow.
March 18 Hazards in your Home
We buckle our children with their seat belts in the car. We have them wear bike helmets. We hold their hands while we cross the street. But has your family created and practiced a fire escape plan? Do you do a safety inspection in your home? Soraya McLaughlin, Community Education Specialist of the Naperville Fire Department, will give us a vital presentation for the overall safety of your home, your family.
April 8 Prayer Blanket Service Project
Bring in your sharp scissors, and put to use all that inspired you at the “Teaching Service to your Children” presentation. The loving mothers of MGM will combine forces and enjoy one another’s company as we make fleece prayer blankets. These blankets will be distributed to infants in a time of concern to hopefully bring them and their families some comfort.
April 22 Spending Less on Groceries

Super-Couponer Jill Cataldo’s DVD will teach us how to effectively use coupons to buy groceries for pennies on the dollar.” Following the DVD presentation, Barb Piez, will testify to the effectiveness of her strategies and answer your questions.
May 6 “How to Talk to My Husband"
Back by popular demand, Dr. Jim Healy, director of the Center for Family Ministry, will return to present effective, loving communication with our spouses. Last year he discussed ‘Blessing our Children”, and he proved to be a dynamic, informative teacher.
May 20 Brunch
Belated Happy Mother’s Day! Join us for our end-of-the year breakfast at Egg Harbor Restaurant as we celebrate motherhood and the wonderful fellowship of MGM. Babysitting will be available for a minimal cost from 9-11 a.m. in our regular childcare room. We will meet at Egg Harbor at 9:30 a.m. and everyone will pay their own way.
