CRHP \churp\ 1: acronym for Christ Renews His Parish  2: a spiritual experience that can make a lasting difference in your life  3: an opportunity to examine, rediscover and intensify your relationship with Christ.

Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) is a process designed to bring members of a parish together in Christ. It stresses a clear focus on the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ. This process emphasizes continued growth in Christ in life and in daily contacts with others. The weekend can be a spiritual experience that can make a lasting difference in your life.

During The Weekend

The retreat provides the opportunity to hear and discuss how we live as Catholics in our modern,  complex society. Guided exercises provide opportunity for individual spiritual growth, through prayer and personal reflection. You may share your faith story—as much or as little as you desire—with others in the parish who understand the demands of everyday life.

Christ our Savior is offering you a chance to respond to a closer and deeper relationship with Him. Sacraments are the focal point of the weekend and we are blessed to have our parish priests involved in the Mass and, if you wish, Reconciliation.

When

Two CRHP weekends are held each year at St. Raphael, on the grounds of the church. Traditionally, the women’s retreat is the last weekend of February; the men host their retreat the first weekend of March.

Both groups come together on Saturday at 8 am and end the day around 9 pm. After retiring at home, participants gather again Sunday morning - women at 7am and men at 8 am.  The retreat is over that day by 2 pm for the Men's retreat and 2:30 - 3:00 pm for the Women's.

Attire for the weekend is casual, and all meals and snacks during the day are provided by the church.

The Facilitators

The renewal weekend Is given for parishioners by parishioners. The retreat team has been trained and formed over the past year to be prepared to share with you.

To Participate

Christ Renews His Parish is open to all men and women of the parish over the age of 19. Advance registration is encouraged; there is a maximum number of possible attendees per weekend. There is no charge for the retreat; only a committment of time is necessary.

So, why take this leap of faith and commit to this weekend?

  • It’s a non-intimidating opportunity to reflect on your own spiritual journey.
  • It’s a gift of time for yourself to kick back, relax and draw closer to your Lord.
  • It’s a chance to get to know other parishioners
  • It’s an opportunity to hear your fellow parishioner’s stories and come to realize that you are not alone in your struggles and doubts.
  • It’s totally free and you will be treated like royalty with food galore.
