Community Service & Outreach
• Undy Sunday collected over 300 articles of underwear for clients of Catholic Charities.
• 6th graders worked with Operation Support Our Troops collecting items for Christmas Stockings for the Troops.
• Hesed House:
o Served over 200 meals from the donations of 17 parishioners and over 35 volunteers on the forth Thursday.
• 9 families picked up Pizza Hut pizza each Tuesday and Friday and delivered it the guests at Hesed House.
• 35 parishioners picked up food from Dominick’s, Jewel and Starbucks and delivered this food to Hesed House every
single weekday of the month!
• Loaves and Fishes...Parishioners contributed $7,204.75 to the “yellow envelopes”.
Liturgy & Spirituality
• Minister’s retreat with 60 parishioners attending.
• 14 facilitators and 1 meeting assistant began the autumn Rainbows session.
• 40 Liturgical Celebrations: 16 Choir supported Masses, 3 weddings, 4 funerals, 10 baptisms, Special St. Raphael
Feast day Mass, 2 freshmen enrollment Masses, 1 Crossroads Mass, 1 Knights of Columbus Mass.
• 1 wedding workshop.
• Afternoon Adoration and special Evening Prayer on 9/11 to mark 10th anniversary.
• Me-God-Mothering started and meets every other Thursday morning at 9:15 in room 162.
• Provided bulletin articles and web site updates to prepare for the New Roman Missal.
• Formation of the Emmaus Group for our “seasoned” parishioners.
• EDGE program Session for over 30 Catechists.
• First two EDGE SESSIONS ... TOPIC: THE HOUSE THAT CHRIST BUILT...THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
Educational
• Grade 1 teacher, Mrs. Jennifer Timmons, made two professional presentations at the Harvest Literacy Conference.
• CREEDS Bible Study program started up with 100 daytime and 50 evening participants.
• 1 baptism class and 3 baptism planning meetings.
• 28 Children began Child Lector Program.
• 21 participants for YMSCC freshman leader orientation.
• 2 vocal professionals provided 2 vocal workshops for music ministry.
• 2 training sessions for 2 new Hospitality Ministers.
• 3 training sessions for 12 new Eucharistic Ministers including 3 teens.
• 2 parishioners attended Liturgist meeting at diocese.
• Held sophomore SCC leader trainings
Administrative
• Expenses totaled $372,294
o $214,424 in Salaries & benefits, $157,870 in expenses which includes $35,225 in textbook and teaching
supplies for school and youth faith formation, $12,775 in utilities and janitorial supplies, $32,000 capital
improvement expenses and miscellaneous program start up supplies.
• Registered 27 new families; 99 new members.
• Eight members of our Special Appeal Committee began discerning the recipient of this year’s Special Appeal.
• Our Rainbows’ coordinator took registrations, organized classes and readied supplies for this year’s Rainbows session.
• 196 freshmen were enrolled for confirmation and placed in 15 SCC groups.
• 8 people registered for the National Catholic Youth Conference.
• Held a large group confirmation session with junior candidates, parents and sponsors.
• RPM youth group planning sessions with an average of about 15 in attendance.
• Edge Program placed over 390 Jr. High Students...Recruited 39 adult Catechists and 20 teen Catechists.
Social
• 11 members of our Welcome Ministry hosted 70 new parishioners at a Welcome breakfast.
• RPM movie night with 17 in attendance.
