MISSION STATEMENT
Stephen Ministry is a means by which we can live out our parish mission, to be a compassionate community, a refuge for the hurting as we reach out to those who are struggling with life’s challenges or facing a personal crisis. In so doing, we strengthen, build and empower the Body of Christ as we see the value in everyone’s life and we recognize the face of Jesus in all that we meet. Stephen Ministry provides a vehicle to live our baptismal calling to serve one another and help to carry one another’s burdens. This ministry is a all to action, one that builds on our giving community, is open to the Holy Spirit, nourished in the Sacramental life allowing us to venture forward and live the Gospel freely. Stephen Ministry has accountability to insure that the care delivered matches the needs of the care receiver; so that by listening and caring for those who are hurting we can become the vessel that offers compassion and God’s healing love when lives seem at their lowest point.
