Each year, a week-long mission trip is planned which takes place during the summer. These trips allow both adults and teens to become involved by participating in home repair while at the same time fostering their spiritual growth. Group Workcamps is the organization that structures our participation in these mission trips. This past June, 58 people traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was an awesome trip that created lasting friendships within our group and allowed us to meet many new people.

If you are looking for a rewarding experience that allows you to help those less fortunate and grow in your own spirituality, this mission trip is for you. Incoming freshman through adults are encouraged to participate. You do not need to be a member of St. Raphael parish to participate.

This year's Love Out Loud Mission Trip is scheduled for June 17-23, 2012. We will be traveling to Racine, Wisconsin. The bus will leave from St. Raphael's on Sunday, June 17, 2012. We will return on Saturday, June 23, 2012. The cost of the trip is $390.00 which depends on the success of our fundraising efforts. All participants are requested to attend our fundraising events. The cost includes your Workcamp meals, lodging, and transportation for the week. Limited scholarships are available. More information can be found in the Informational Packet below.

An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the Teen Room. Come and hear about the exciting opportunities that are available to Go and Make a Difference in the lives of others.
