Each year, a week-long mission trip is planned which takes place during the summer. These trips allow both adults and teens to become involved by participating in home repair while at the same time fostering their spiritual growth. Group Workcamps is the organization that structures our participation in these mission trips. This past June, 59 people traveled to Troy, Missouri. It was an awesome trip that created lasting friendships within our group and allowed us to meet many new people.
If you are looking for a rewarding experience that allows you to help those less fortunate and grow in your own spirituality, this mission trip is for you. Incoming freshman through adults are encouraged to participate. You do not need to be a member of St. Raphael parish to participate.
This year’s mission trip to Waterloo, Iowa will run from July 13-19 and is open to all youth who have graduated 8th grade. The cost of the trip is $440, (depending on our fund raising efforts). A mandatory meeting will take place from 7:30-8:30pm in Room 162. Down payment and information form will be due. There are 50 spots available. All participants are requested to attend our fundraising events. The cost includes your Workcamp meals, lodging, and transportation for the week. Limited scholarships are available. More information can be found in the Informational Packet below.
