Habits of the Soul - Personal Reflection
Day 3
Rend Your Hearts, Not Your Clothing
Reflection By: Anonymous
Day 3 deals with TIME. It's amazing how "time" fits into so many aspects of our vocabulary and the framework of our daily lives. Yet. it's a slippery thing to pin down. and we are masters at making it fit our own definition and of course at our own "time." I sincerely hope you find or make time for prayer in your daily schedule. The following poem about "time" begs the question of us all.. if not now. when?
24/7/365. and counting
Enough time. not enough time.
Since time immemorial.
. until the end of time.
A time to live. a time to die.
Too short a time.
An unending amount of time.
A time to laugh.
A time to celebrate.
A time to weep.
A time to grieve.
It's time to wake up and smell the coffee.
Don't you think you've had enough time?
Who says when "the time is right"?
How much time does it take?
Give it enough time- time heals everything. A lie.
Spend your time wisely.
Don't waste time.
Time to go to sleep.
Time to wake up. Time to brush your teeth. Time to get dressed.
Time to go to school. Time to start your homework.
It's time to do your chores.
Time to go to church. Time to pray.
Time to go to work. time for a break.
Time for lunch. time for dinner. There's never time for breakfast.
It's time you did something.
It's time to relax.
A time to begin. a time to end.
Time marches on.
It's about time you got here!
Time for what?
My friend, it's time.
